You’ll need a computer capable of running 3D software such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine.We recommend:CPU: Intel i5 / Ryzen 5 or higherRAM: 16GB minimum (32GB recommended)GPU: GTX 1660 / RTX Series or AMD equivalentOS: Windows 10/11You can start with lower specs for beginner classes.
No. M3DS Academy is beginner-friendly. Our CG Fundamentals and Year 1 programs are built to teach you everything from scratch.
Students must be 16+ years old. Younger students may join with parental approval.
You only need a basic understanding of English to follow lessons and communicate with instructors. Full fluency is not required.
Not for beginner programs. A portfolio is only recommended for Specializations and Mentorships so instructors can better understand your current level.
Most software is available through our partnerships with Autodesk, Maxon, and Epic Games. Students receive educational licenses or access to free versions where possible.

During your introductory call, our instructors evaluate your goals, experience, and expectations, then recommend the best starting point — from beginners to advanced artists.
Absolutely. Many of our students start with zero experience. CG Fundamentals and Year 1 are designed for total beginners.
Only advanced programs such as Specializations or Mentorships may require portfolio samples. Beginner programs do not.
No. We focus on guiding your growth, not filtering you out. Your journey begins with the motivation to learn.
